Disease #2
So, it turns out that in addition to polycystic ovarian syndrome, I also have endometriosis. The only way to diagnose endometriosis is to do surgery. I don't have any of the classic symptoms, so I didn't see any reason to do it before. After all of these years of tests and treatments and no success, we decided to finally do the surgery, just to know for sure whether or not it was an issue. Dr. Seale, the wonderful doctor who performed the surgery, found endometriosis and was able to burn it all out. He thinks that since he burned it out, it might not come back. He was very encouraging and believes that this might be the solution to our infertility! It has been a couple of months since the surgery, but we are still hopeful.
